FRANCOIS VOYER

Founding and History

  • Cognac Voyer was established in the early 19th century, with roots tracing back to the Voyer family's long history as winemakers and distillers in the Grande Champagne region, the premier cru of Cognac. The family has been producing exceptional Cognac for over five generations, with a strong focus on maintaining traditional methods of production and upholding the unique terroir of their vineyards.

  • The Voyer estate, located in Verrières, covers approximately twenty-eight hectares of vineyards, exclusively in the Grande Champagne region. This region's chalky soil is ideal for producing eaux-de-vie with great aging potential, which is the hallmark of Voyer's long-matured Cognacs.

Style and Offerings

  • Cognac Voyer is known for its artisanal approach to Cognac production, emphasizing the natural beauty of Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie. The house uses traditional copper pot stills and carefully ages its Cognacs in French oak barrels, allowing the spirits to develop their signature elegance and complexity.

  • Voyer's Cognacs are often described as refined, floral, and rich in fruity and spicy flavors. The house produces a range of expressions, from younger, vibrant Cognacs to older, more complex offerings, all while maintaining a balance between finesse and depth.
